About this object

On front in an oval medallion of frosted or matt glass is a bird in green enamel. The edge of the frame is gilded. Around the rest of the decanter are rosettes cut in soft-edged relief. A generalized, daisy-like flower with leaves and stem has been rendered in gilt on each face of the faceted shoulder. The neck comprises three gilded knops with channeling between. The edge of the stopper is gilded and decorated with a curving, star-like form in relief.
