About this object

The upper third of the bowl of the tumbler is engraved with views of the monuments of St. Petersburg. In the center is the Bronze Horseman, Etienne Falconet and Marie-Anne Callot's equestrian monument to Peter the Great on Senate Square. Around it is the fence designed by Iurii Velten. On either side of the monument are the Admiralty and the Senate Building, the view being towards the Neva. Masts of tall ships are also visible in the background. Opposite this are the engraved Cyrillic initials “S.F.Kh.” in a feather-like cartouche. The lowest third of the tumbler is cut in a heavy diamond pattern. The underside is cut in a sunburst pattern.
