The salt cellars are eight-sided, with each side curved inward so that the edge is scalloped. In the bottom of each is a portrait bust on a red ground. Each portrait is within a gilded wreath. .2 is a woman facing to the left. Her hair is dressed high and she wears a dotted dress with a fur collar.
