About this object

The lid and top and bottom of the mug are cut in a diamond-shaped pattern with vertical ribbing around the middle to leave a reserve for the portrait. A gilded profile portrait of Count Wittgenstein decorates the front of this cobalt blue mug. His name is printed in gold letters above the portrait. There is a gold band around the base and lip, on either side of the handle and on the knop of the lid.
