About this object

Base is engraved with a series of sprays of leaves and flowers. On stem is one very large inverted baluster knop above ball and collars. Bowl is engraved on one side with the imperial eagle and St. George and the Dragon on a shield on his breast. On opposite side is an acrostic inscription CZAR (C)ASANIEN (Z)IBERIEN (A)STRACANIEN (R)USIA for Czar of Kazan, Siberia, Astrakhan, Russia.
