About this object

This liqueur glass in dark, blueish-green glass is composed of a plain bowl, faceted stem, and a plain foot with a gilt rim. Around the edge of the bowl is a gilt band. The lower half of the bowl is cut into 15 facets and is decorated on one side with a transfer print of Nicholas I. s a bust-length portrait of Nicholas I, looking left, set within a wreath made of laurel and oak leaves. He wears a uniform with epaulets and a single order on his chest. The reverse side is embellished with a decorative leaves and berries in gilt, similar to that on the body of the decanter.
