This bowl features the so-called 'Moon and Star' pattern made by Adams and Company of Pittsburgh. The bowl has a scallped edge that encloses a row of round medallions with rosettes in the center. A second row of medallions fits neatly in between the medallions and rosettes. Impressed on the underside center is an eight-pointed star. The company's trade name for this service was "Palace."
