About this object

The compote is made from the Moon and Star pattern. It is a covered compote with a high standard. The lid has a rose like finial which rests on a ring that is ribbed. The lid has one row of round medallions with rosettes in the center. The edge is scalloped to join with the scalloped top edge of the compote bottom. The compote bottom has a row of large oval medallions with a design in the center of each. Below this is a row of round medallions with rosettes. The stem is tall and has a collar in the center which has a foliate desig on it. The foot is round and arched high. It has one row of medallions with rosettes around it.
