About this object

The seal is urn shaped with a ram lying on the top. The ram lies down with his head raised. The flat top underneath him extends outwards in a curved edge that has acanthus leaves carved on it. The edge curves inwards and is decorated with ribbing. Below this is a series of clear steps that extend outwards. This joins the pedestal base which has a collar at the top and ribbing around it. The round bottom is cut.
