About this object

The seal is carved from brown and white agate. It is tall and slender. The top is square and has sloping sides taht are cut with a ridged design. The upper part of the seal is smooth with four square sides that narrow slightly to meet a band in the center of the seal. The band is a simple indentation in the middle of the seal. The seal bulges at the bottom of the cut but quickly narrows towards another simply cut band and then expands to form the flat bottom which is cut with a coat of arms. The edges of the bottom square are scalloped.
