About this object
The vase is made in a classic crater shape without the handle. It rests on a thin square plinth which in turn rests on a taller block of malachite which forms a column. The bottom base is a square with the corners cut off making it an octagonal shape. The upper edge of the urn curves outwards. The center is narrow and the bottom is bulbous. The foot has a knob on the top.
