About this object

The holder is made in the shape of a bedside candleholder. It is heavy. In the center of the oval bowl is a protruding cylinder with a small hole drilled in the top. This was probably for a candle holder, which is now missing. It stands on a ring foot. The sides slope out as they extend upwards from the foot. There is a handle which is square in shape.
