About this object

The agate frame is shaped like an arched doorway and rests on two stepped feet. The inner frame is made in gold with blue enamel. At the top and to the lower left and right corners are stylized ornaments in lapis lazuli, turquoise and diamonds. At two sides and bottom center are rosettes in turquoise with a diamond in center. The miniature is of Eleanor Barzin, Marjorie Post's daughter, with a dog in her arms. She is bust length and faces to the left. The background shows a forest.
