About this object

The candelabra has a lower part which is designed as a column resting on a tall pentagonal base. This is veneered in malachite with two brass bands, one at the top and one at the bottom of the column, holding it firm. Above this is a cluster of five leafy branches, each one ending in a bobeche. These are made in gilt bronze in the French Rococo taste. These were wired at one time for electricity.
