About this object

Small rectangular brown leather case with brass hardware and topstitched leather handle. Topstitching on leather at each corner. Each corner reinforced with curved leather cap. Two square brass latches on front. back seam reinforced by top stitching. Yellow, blue and white painted stripe with initials MPD. Interior lined with brown cotton wide wale corderouy. Lid and bottome protected by panel that latch on with two leather snaps and center tab to lift. Lid section divided into seven compartments; center partition has additional support piece; sides are padded for support of each partition. On interior of lid there is a top stitched leather sheath possibly for corksrew? Bottom interior is the same but does not have leather pocket on lid and without additional support structure in center.
