About this object

Rectangular traveling trunk with brown canvas and brass hardware and straps with three rows of studs, two large diamond shaped latches and two small diamond shaped latches, brushed metal circular center lock. Interior lined with blue and white pinstriped fabric, series of majenta ribbons crosshatched across top fixed with brass tags. Removable fabric covered tray with lid and four leather straps, back of lid affixed with four silver metal hinges. Tray filled with tissue. One piece of tissue says "only baby clothes here/marjorie post/EB close/adelaide and eleanor and Nedenia's." Yellow ribbon and blue and yellow striped Hillwood tag "#8" found inside tray. Second tray without cover has three twill straps with silver clips, twill handles and added silk grograin ribbon handles. Third tray without cover has three twill straps with silver clips, twillhandles and added modern edition pink fabric with flowers handles; fourth tray with no lid, three twill straps with silver clips, twill handles and added silk grograin ribbon handles, black mold. Two copper rails on sides and bottom level.
