About this object

The jewelry box is made of dark brown leather wrapped around wood. The top of the box is banded with a thin line of gold paint and the hinged lid secures via a metal clasp. The interior is lined with light blue silk. The interior of the lid reads in old english lettering "Eugene Jaccard & Co./St. Louis" wich has been printed onto the silk in gold.
