About this object

The foot and body of ice cup are decorated with bands of laurel leaves in relief that had been painted in naturalistic tones of green, pale yellow, cream and maroon for enhancement. At the top the ice cup is ornamented with a scale patter in gold and maroon. The handle, in the shape of a twig, is gilded.
