About this object

The badge is formed from an equal armed Greek cross decorated with translucent green guilloché enamel surmounted by the rampant Romanov griffin carrying a shield and sword surrounded by a wreath of two golden sheaves. The cross hangs from a gold wreath of oak leaves with acorns that serves to attach the cross to a green grosgrain ribbon edged in black. The award came in the original box.
