Cross of Order of St. Andrew with sash. Badge is gold with black enamel imperial eagle with blue enamel St. Andrew. Realistic portrayal of saint and Roman style letters in gold: S.A.P.R. Cross is mounted on the breast of a gold, black enameled and crowned imperial eagle the upper arms of the cross extend just beneath the eagle's beaks on each side while the lower arms of the cross are seemingly grasped in the eagle's out-stretched claws. On this example, one of the toes is missing from the left foot. Crowns of the eagles are in black and white enameling, the white areas accented with small colored dots. Eagle/cross are suspended from a third large golden enameled crown, the velvet represented by red enamel, the orb accented in dark blue enamel. Motto on reverse in narrow white enamel strip starting at the eagle's heads and forming a loop down the center of the back. Back of larger crown is identical except the red areas are dark blue in reverse. Sash is faded light blue moire ribbon 3 7/8 inches in width terminating in a bow with two gold/brass rings to support the weight of the cross. Ends of the bow are finished in gold bullion fringe.
