Base metal. Oval badge with four arms of seven graduated rays in pinchbeck forming a cross. The central medallion shows seated figure of St. Catherine seated on a wheel holding bi-foil ended cross in the upper left quadrant of which is a circle with a Latin "R" in its center. The whole is suspended from a pinch-beck decorated loop.
