Earrings are for pierced ears. They are made of tortoise shell, which is shaped into two oval loops. There is a smaller loop set within a larger one. They are mounted in gold. The surface is in pique work in a floral pattern in gold and silver. The two loops are held together by an ovoid piece in tortoise shell decorated with a gold band.
