About this object

Earrings are for pierced ears. The hoop bends back on itself to be caught after piercing the ear. Within the hoop is a fan shaped ornament in filigree. Directly below is a lunate section set with three glass paste stones. From this piece hang five chains, one long in the center, two medium length on the sides, and two short ones inbetwen the long and medium length ones. The chains are strung with pearls and pink and green quartz. Between the pearls are gold beads in filigree. Above and below the quartz beads are gold settings in filigree from which are suspended seed pearls. At end of each chain is a gold bead in filigree of a pyramidal shape. At the bottom of the long and medium length chains are large stones.
