About this object

The center of the brooch is in openwork. It has a cluster of three leaves around two buds or pieces of fruit. The leaves and buds are made of gold, and have the veins and petals etched on them. There is a frame curled around the center with the two ends crossed over each other like a knot. The border is in gold openwork that looks like wire. It is set with a row of seed pearls. There is a pin at the back. There is also a chain attached to the back which ends with a pin for safety.
