About this object

On the front of this egg is a catouche, framed by a kokoshnik-shaped (ogee-shaped) border. Figure of St. George in a blue coat, mounted on a white steed and slaying a magnificent green dragon, stands out against the soft orange background. A large flower in pastel colors on a cream ground decorates the back of the egg, which opens vertically.
