About this object

Silver gilt bowl is lobate and covered with a most elaborate pattern of flowers and other motifs in champlevé and filigree enamel. About the upper edge is a series of semi-precious cabochon stones. Handle is similarly decorated with enamels and stones. Tip opposite the handle is enameled with a bird's head on either side.
