About this object

Each consists of a winged putto holding an oval picture frame, seated on an oval shaped base which curves up and inward and is decorated with fluting. The frame contains a miniature bust-length portrait of a young boy. Behind each putto, lying on the base is a bow and quiver full of arrows.
