About this object

The sword is encased in a leather sheath that is broken off at the point. It has a chased metal handle with female head at the end. The hilt has a lion mask shield with a cross topped by crown. There is a plaque of ridged mother of pearl on the wood handle. It is long and thin in shape and probably a rapier.
