About this object

In French style of empire period. Base has low relief lyres, acanthus and scrolls. Stem is joined to base by a slender flower like motif. Stem has leaves and berries about the lower half and cross hatching above. At top is an inverted flower like motif. Bobeche has leaves and flowers and berries in low relief as on lower section of stem.
