About this object

The lamp has a single straight shaft with two balusters in pewter and bronze. The background is pewter with an overall ornate raised design in brass of acanthus leaves, garlands of fruit, swags of drapery and leaf and flower scrolls. It stands on a circular foot made in two sections which rests on a tripod base decorated with two winged putti holding wreaths on each side of the face. It has lion paw feet. The shade is hexagonal and made from beige grass parchment incorporating field flowers.
