About this object
Except for the handle, spout and base, there is an all over arabesque design in niello on a stippled gilt ground. On each side is a medallion with a view of the Red Gates and Sukharev Tower in niello on silver. Two medallions on cover are left vacant for the monogram of the owner. There are two ivory circles on the handle and one inside the finial on the cover.
