About this object

The small pitcher is covered with a Middle Eastern interlace pattern around the neck and below the middle. From the lower neck to the middle, the pattern is four decorated circles alternating with leaf and vine design. All the ornament is raised above a stippled ground. At the base of the neck and at the foot are three plain rings. The rings and interior appear to have been gilded.
