About this object

The ewer has a bulbous body and a long thin neck and an S-shaped handle. Except for the handle most of the surface is decorated in repousse. é. There are six pointed ovals around the body each with a standing figure of man in what appears to be Georgian dress, holding a musical instrument. In the spaces between the ovals, above and below, are animals and birds with leaves. The neck is decorated in relief with leaves.
