About this object

Repoussé flower garland decorate this oblong basin with a cluster of fruit in the center. Some of the fruit and the sunflowers are stippled, while the leaves are burnished. Birds and peacocks on the bowl sit on scrolling leaves emanating from the fruit. The decorative elements are surrounded by neoclassical beaded edge.
