About this object

The sides are decorated in repousse and divided into three sections each with a medallion with a long frame of rococo scrolls. In the medallions are 1. a lion rampant holding a scepter, 2. Cupid cutting down a tree and 3. a one headed eagle with crown, globe and sceptre. The ring foot has vertical ribbing.

MARK bottom: 1. St. George and the Dragon for Moscow in a square frame, 2. AK in Cyrillic for Kuz'min Anisim, Moscow essayer in 1741-1752; 3. TS in Cyrillic for Siluyanov Timofei (active 1750-1802) 1751 is the only year that has a city mark in a square frame( afterwards it is arched) and still fit the time frame of both silversmith and essayer
