About this object

The shape is oval with straight sides. The front and back have each an oval medallion with a reeded frame and containing a chased flower head in the center surrounded by a chased wreath of roses. Outside the medallion are four floral sprays, two above, two below. The cover has a similar flower head and wreath on the top, and on the sides floral swags as if suspended from ribbon bowknots.
