In the inside of the bowl is a jetton with a scene of a forge wit two men, one standing on either side. Around the upper edge is an inscription "AERE. ARGENTO.AURO.FLANDO.FERIUNDO". Below is the artist's name A. PATEY. On the reverse of the jetton underneath the bowl is the facade of the mint, the inscription above "MONNAIE DE PARIS" and the date 1900, that of the Exposition Universale. The tray itself is plain.
