About this object
The box has an irrgular shape with a hinged lid. The hinge is made in silver gilt with a ribbed design and a thumb piece. The top and bottom are each made from a cameo carved in amber with figures. On the cover is a woman and two children set in a landscape. To the right is a castle and some trees. On the bottom are two lovers in a landscape with trees.
