About this object

On the front of the rectangular plaque is engraved the portrait of a battleship sailing from left to the right in three-quarters profile. With a Cyrillic inscription: Battle cruiser first rank "Riurik", of 15,200 tons water displacement and 19,700 horse power - Keel laid in the town of Barrow in Furness (England) in the factory of Vickers and Company - 9 (22) August 1905. On the back is engraved a longer inscription: Director of the Naval Ministry Adjutant General F. K. Avelan - President of the Naval Technical Committee Adjutant General F. V. Dubasov - Chief of the Supreme Office of Ship Building Rear Admiral A. R. Rodionov - Chief Inspector of Ship Building Lieutenant General N. E. Kuteinikov - Supervisor of Construction Naval Engineer K. A. Tennyson.
