About this object

The round shallow bowl in yellow jasper has a silver rim and has set in the bottom a silver coin of Catherine II the background of which is enamelled blue. Both sides of the coin are visible but the portrait of Catherine exposed in the bottom of the bowl has a blue enamelled background.
