About this object

The yellow gold box is ribbed on all sides with one wide rib alternating with three small ones. On the lid is an unsigned miniature portrait of the Tsar Nicholas II, wearing a uniformof the Life-Guard Hussar regiment, the one he wore on his wedding. The miniature has a frame of rose cut diamonds with a Russian Imperial crown above, also in diamonds. The thumbpiece is set with diamonds.
