About this object

The perfume bottle is tear-shaped with hinges along the sides, and a long narrow neck. The glass bottle is entirely covered by a gold openwork cage of vines with a pair of birds and a nest on each side. It stands on an oval foot. On the top of the bulbous hinged cap is a plain medallion engraved with a monogram. Inside the cap is a small gold mounted cork.
