About this object

The lid of the oval box is set with many green stones in varying sizes. Some are cabochon, and some are square cut. There are four clusters of three small diamonds each attached to the gilt metal ground which is designed in openwork with ornate leaf scrolls. The sides are covered with bands of repousse leaf scrolls. A hinged lid opens to reveal a mirror inside.
