PERFUME FLASK

Creator(s): Unknown

On view in: Marjorie Post's Bedroom

About this object

The form of the bottle is that generally called a "pilgrim's flask." There are two shaped pieces of bloodstone attached at the sides with a border in gold. This is ribbed and chased with flowers and leaves. The gold base is cut like a seal with an inscription and the outline of a sealed envelope. The cap is more recent in date. It is a small round knob.
