About this object

The pear-shaped flask is made from a single piece of bloodstone. On the front and back is an openwork scroll design each with a seated cupidin the center. One holds a torch, the other a swag of roses. The base is made in gold and turned. There is a gold rim with turning at the top. The stopper is mde from bloodstone mounted in gold with an openwork design on the front and back, each with a dove.
