The seal is cut in sardonyx. Body of seal is in form of forearm with hand clasping baton. Sleeve is set with garnets and cuff engraved in gold. Hand is finely carved mother of pearl and on first finger is a carved gold ring set with a ruby. Baton is in mother of pearl and set with garnets around both ends. On tip of baton is a sardony and other in mother of pearl.
