About this object

The perfume bottle is made from blue glass and gold. It is urn-shaped with a foot and wide facets at the top. The body is somewhat flattened and is covered with chased gold openwork representing a grapevine. On each side are the same two seated figures, male and female, picking grapes and seated on a large fallen column. The gold cap has on the top a chased flower spray and others on the sides all on a stippled ground.
