Location: The Levine School of Music, Sally Mae Hall, 2801 Upton Street, NW, Washington, DC 20008
Part of: Concerts and Music, Social, Music
Elisabeth Adkins, violin, Igor Zubkovsky, cello, Anna Ouspenskaya, piano will perform selection of the most beloved Russian ballets commissioned by Sergei Diaghlev. The many great composers Diaghilev worked with served to distinguish his ballets from other 19th-century ballets, for which the music had usually been provided by less distinguished and inspired composers. Diaghilev commissioned many original scores, and borrowed freely from the existing musical canon. This concert is a potpourri of the most beloved of these works.
Please note, this concert takes place offsite at The Levine School of Music, located on Upton Street, NW.
