Do you appreciate orchids but are tired of growing the same type again and again? Looking for alternatives to spice up the standard houseplants you’ve had for years? Have faith! This workshop will cover everything you need to know about dendrobiums, oncidiums and paphiopedalums (Lady Slippers).  These orchids are guaranteed to be easy to grow in a home environment while providing you with long-lasting beautiful flowers. Not only are they becoming more readily available in local nurseries but you’ll also receive a 10% discount at Hillwood’s Museum Shop that carries all three types for purchase. You’ll learn everything from repotting techniques to how to get your orchids to rebloom year after year. Your family and friends will be impressed with your exotic “house plants”!  Handouts will be provided.

Led by Jason Godeik, Head of Greenhouse and Design.  This program is limited to 10 people, and must have a minimum of 4 participants to take place.  In the event that workshop is cancelled, participants may choose to participate in another session.
