Designed in the late 1950s by
Shogo J. Myaida, the Japanese-style Garden is one of the few remaining
examples of an oriental garden popularized by the influence of Japanese
culture in America after World War II. The garden design illustrates
a blending of both Japanese traditions and American tastes.
